Provider oVirt
The oVirt provider (Cluster API oVirt) provides integration and access to data in the oVirt virtualization platform. The provider also allows integration with oVirt-like virtualization platforms: RED Virtualization, zVirt, HOSTVM, ROSA Virtualization.
Provider deploys virtual machines in the virtualization platform for use in clusters with the oVirt provider.
The module is critical for the operation of the platform (cannot be disabled). In the Shturval platform, the oVirt provider is installed only in the management cluster.
To view the status of a service in the management cluster, go to the Installed Services page of the Services and Repositories section. Find oVirt Provider (shturval-capov) and click Manage.
The operation of the oVirt Provider (shturval-capov) depends on the operation of the services:
- CRD for the provider module (oVirt)
shturval-capov-crds; - Cluster-API Provider
shturval-capi.
Configuration of behavior when creating a VM
You can manage the settings for forming a name and creating an independent disk clone when adding a VM in the oVirt provider. To change the default settings, add the necessary customvalues to oVirt Provider (shturval-capov), to do this:
In the graphical interface of the management cluster, in the side menu, open the Services and repositories section and go to the Installed services page, find oVirt Provider (
shturval-capov) and go to management.In Service Specification, add the featureGates block and specify the necessary parameters. If featureGates are not used, default values are used.
