Client Cluster Manager

The Client Cluster Manager in the Shturval platform automatically configures client clusters. The manager is responsible for:

• management of the cluster initialization process;
• installation of selected and critical system services into the cluster;
• generation of node configurations Node Config Items (NCI).

In the Shturval platform you can create client clusters with infrastructure providers:

• VMware vSphere;
• oVirt;
• OpenStack;
• Basis Dynamix;
• Shturval v2;
• VMware vCloud Director;
• Yandex Cloud.

The module is critical for the operation of the Shturval platform (cannot be disabled). In the Shturval platform, Cluster Manager is installed only in the management cluster.

To view the status of a service in the management cluster, go to the Installed Services page of the Services and Repositories section. Find Client Cluster Manager (shturval-cluster-manager) and click Manage.

The work of the Client Cluster Manager (shturval-cluster-manager) depends on the operation of the services:

• CRD for the cluster manager module (shturval-cluster-manager-crds)
• Platform software control module (shturval-backend)
• Root certificate delivery module (shturval-trust-manager)
