Container Runtime

ContainerD provides an executable environment for running containers (Container Runtime). It simplifies the deployment and management of containerized applications. When a management cluster is initialized, client clusters ContainerD is installed on each node.

ContainerD is a daemon on the node that manages the entire container lifecycle:

  • downloads images from repositories to manage them;
  • calls Container Runtime to start and stop container processes.

The ContainerD configuration file is located at the path /etc/containerd/config.toml.

In the graphical interface of the platform, using the node configuration object (NCI), it is possible to configure the Container Runtime parameters.
