Platform software control module (Shturval Backend)

The Platform software control module (Shturval Backend) provides an application software interface for managing the Shturval platform. Module functions:

  • Processing API requests from Shturval Frontend and other cluster components.
  • Perform CRUD operations to manage Kubernetes resources.
  • Integration with external services and services for managing and operating the platform and clusters.
  • Interaction with Kubernetes to manage resources in the Shturval platform.
  • Managing user access rights.

The module is critical for the operation of the Shturval platform (cannot be disabled). In the Shturval platform, Shturval Backend is installed only in the management cluster.

To view the status of a service in the management cluster, go to the Installed Services page of the Services and Repositories section. Find Platform Software Management Module (shturval-backend) and click Manage.

The operation of the Platform software control module (shturval-backend) depends on the operation of the services:

  • Component of the Platform software control module shturval-backend-crds;
  • External connection control module shturval-ingress-controller.
