Root Certificate Delivery Module (Trust Manager)

The root certificate delivery module is based on Trust Manager. It allows you to manage and distribute chains of trusted Certificate Authority (CA) certificates. Trusted certificates are required to verify the authenticity of certificates when establishing a TLS connection. Trust Manager extends the functionality of Cert Manager and is used in addition to the TLS Certificate Management Module module.

The root certificate delivery module is a critical service for the operation of the Shturval platform (cannot be disabled). Installed by default in the management cluster and client clusters.

To view the status of a service in the cluster, go to the Installed Services page of the Services and Repositories section. Find Root Certificate Delivery Module (shturval-trust-manager) and click Manage.

For the service to work correctly, the following must be installed and enabled in the cluster:

  • TLS certificate management module (shturval-cert-manager).
  • CRD of the root certificate delivery module (shturval-trust-manager-crds).
