About providers
На этой странице
In the platform Providers section, the Provider configuration page lets you configure the virtualization platform where Shturval platform cluster nodes will run and shows a list of created provider instances. For each instance, the following information is shown:
- Name;
- Kubernetes version;
- Provider type;
- Associated clusters;
- Whether CSI installation is allowed;
- IP pool name and free IP addresses. Use table display settings (click the gear icon) to show bound IP pools and free IP addresses.

You can create provider configurations for:
- VMware vSphere;
- oVirt and oVirt-like virtualization platforms:
- OpenStack and public clouds:
- Basis Dynamix;
- Shturval v2 — the platform’s internal provider. Supports adding virtual and physical machines as hosts for use in clusters;
- VMware vCloud Director;
- Yandex Cloud.
In a provider instance configuration you can add a virtual machine template with a Kubernetes version that matches the platform version. After upgrading the platform to a new minor version, you can add a VM template with an updated Kubernetes version.
See Creating a cluster for details on creating a cluster with each provider type.
You can duplicate a provider configuration. On the selected provider page, click Create duplicate. The duplicate instance is created with all previous settings except the provider name. Duplication is available for all providers except Shturval v2.
