About the provider

Shturval v2 is the Shturval platform’s internal provider that:

  • supports adding virtual and physical machines as hosts for use in clusters;
  • lets you create autoscaling hybrid clusters.

Note!

  1. The Shturval v2 provider does not require separate templates for different Kubernetes versions.
  2. When using Oracle Linux 8.x* on Shturval v2 provider hosts, disable Firewalld before installation.

The provider supports virtual machines and physical servers. The provider must have:

  • SSH access to the host;
  • passwordless sudo;
  • iptables and gnupg packages installed on hosts.

For Shturval v2 you can bind an IP address pool to a provider instance. This lets you assign the cluster API server address and Ingress VIP from free IPs in that pool when configuring a cluster. See adding an IP pool.
