Upload to the Shturval platform

Created VM templates must be uploaded to a provider instance of the corresponding type:

You can add multiple VM templates to one provider instance. Each VM template supports only one Kubernetes version for cluster deployment. Available Kubernetes versions are compatible with the installed platform version.

Before choosing a Kubernetes version, review the Kubernetes and Shturval platform version mapping. Note! The Kubernetes version specified in the VM template determines available platform versions when creating client clusters.

Example: selecting a Kubernetes version for a VM template

When adding a virtual machine template to a provider instance, available Kubernetes versions are: v1.31.8, v1.32.3, v1.33.1.

According to the version mapping, choosing v1.31.8 lets you deploy client clusters with platform version 2.9.2. Choosing v1.32.3 lets you deploy client clusters with version 2.10.0.

Example:

  1. You added a VM template to a provider instance with Kubernetes version v1.33.1.
  2. On the Basic data step of client cluster creation, you selected the provider instance where you added the VM template.
  3. As a result, platform version 2.11.0 is available, matching Kubernetes version v1.33.1.
