How to create

Template creation involves several steps:

• create a VM in the virtualization platform;
• create a VM template with the stc utility and shut down the VM in the virtualization platform;
• upload the VM image to the virtualization platform.

When creating a VM from a template, Shturval prepares the VM automatically: it installs the selected Kubernetes version and required configuration.

Note!

• When preparing a VM template, consider time synchronization requirements.
• On the virtual machine used to create the template:
  • the mirror host must resolve by the active FQDN;
  • SELinux must be disabled (permissive or disabled);
  • unavailable repositories must be disabled or removed (for example, default distribution repositories);
  • the system must have iptables and gnupg packages installed.
