What to do if you don't have enough access rights?

If you cannot perform an action in the Shturval platform — for example, you do not see a cluster, a section does not open, a button is unavailable, or you see an access denied message — your account likely lacks the required permissions. Contact the person who manages access at the appropriate level: the platform administrator or cluster administrator.

Who to contact

Permissions in the platform are assigned by level: platform → tenants → clusters → namespaces. The level where access is missing determines who can grant the permissions you need.

Contact the platform administrator

The platform administrator can manage permissions at any level. However, if you need access to a cluster or namespace, contact the cluster administrator first.

Contact the platform administrator if you cannot sign in to the platform at all (401 error), or you lack platform-level, tenant-level, or cluster-wide permissions needed for your tasks. The platform administrator configures access in Role Management and assigns access sets to users and groups.

Typical situations:

  • No access to the platform (you cannot sign in or do not see sections after signing in).
  • You need access to the management cluster or the list of client clusters.
  • You need to create a client cluster or manage providers, IP pools, and tenants.
  • You need tenant permissions (access to all clusters and namespaces within the tenant).

Where the platform administrator configures permissions:

Contact your cluster administrator

Contact the cluster administrator (or someone with permission to manage access in that cluster) if you already have platform access but lack permissions within a cluster or in a specific namespace.

Typical situations:

  • The cluster appears in the list, but you cannot access cluster sections (nodes, storage, applications, and so on).
  • You need access to a specific namespace or permission to create or edit resources in a namespace.

Where the cluster administrator configures access:

The interface uses the same custom resources (access sets) configured in the platform administrator section (Access Manager) to assign permissions at the cluster and namespace levels. If needed, the cluster administrator can work with the platform administrator to create or select a suitable access set.
