Backup Recommendations

Having regularly created backups can help quickly restore system operation:

• in case of loss of management cluster;
• in case of loss of client cluster (all Control Plane nodes are NotReady);
• in case of deleting a client cluster;
• in case of loss of critical data of the client cluster.

It is recommended to set up backups for at least:

1. Namespaces of client clusters in the management cluster. The backup copy must include all namespace resources of client cluster namespaces;

2. Infrastructure providers in the management cluster;

3. ClusterRoles in the management cluster;

4. Client clusters with a complete set of data necessary to ensure the life of deployed applications.

These resources can be useful for regaining control of client clusters in the event of a management cluster failure, as well as for recovering client clusters.
