During the update: the platform moves Ceph CSI to the operator1 and configures the management cluster to receive incoming HTTP traffic through Gateway API2.

1 Ceph CSI has moved to the operator. By default, an update to 2.15.0 moves the services shturval-ceph-cephfs and shturval-ceph-rbd to the service shturval-ceph-csi.

Before the update you can run the migration manually: Migrating Ceph CSI to shturval-ceph-csi. During the update the platform runs the migration itself. Details are on the shturval-ceph-csi service page.

2 When the management cluster is updated to 2.15.0, the platform configures it to receive incoming HTTP traffic through Gateway API. The external connections module (shturval-ingress-controller) is installed in absent mode.

What’s new

Infrastructure

  • Ceph CSI has moved to the operator. By default, an update to 2.15.0 moves the services shturval-ceph-cephfs and shturval-ceph-rbd to the service shturval-ceph-csi.
  • The management cluster serves incoming traffic with Gateway API. Client clusters can choose NGINX Ingress Controller or Gateway API.

GUI

  • The system services step adds a choice of how to manage HTTP traffic.
  • The namespace dashboard has been updated: the Ingresses column is renamed to Routes. The column shows Ingress, HTTPRoute, and GRPCRoute.
