Troubleshooting (host cleaning)
If the cluster does not use an external load balancer, a host may not be fully cleaned up after removal. In that case:
- remove the host from the provider configuration;
- reset the host to a snapshot;
- return the host to this provider instance or add it to another (if needed);
- wait until the host reaches Free status.
If you use Ceph or Longhorn as external storage, before removing a host from a cluster node group:
- Mark the node inactive in the external storage management GUI.
- Follow Release a specific host.
If needed, run Drain with options such as removing EmptyDir volumes. You can run Drain from the CLI or from the Drain section in the platform GUI.
