Purpose
shturval-caching-dns - local DNS management module based on NodeLocal DNS. Provides DNS caching on every node and improves fault tolerance and name resolution performance.
Deployment and management
shturval-caching-dns is a critical platform service. In the Shturval platform, its inclusion and life cycle in the cluster is ensured by cluster-manager (platform service); the ShturvalServiceConfig (SSC) object for the shturval-caching-dns chart is created and maintained as part of the platform configuration, and not as an arbitrary manual installation by the administrator. For correct operation, the shturval-networking module must be deployed in the cluster (see dependencies in the table above).
Recommendation: do not edit ShturvalServiceConfig manually to change release parameters - the object belongs to the platform configuration and can be overwritten during updates. Make changes (including custom DNS zones in customvalues) via ShturvalServicePatch (SSP).

Custom settings (customvalues)
To add your own DNS records (matching domain names and IP addresses), use the config.zones section in the customvalues of the service:

After changing customvalues, make sure the update mode is set to Automatic and save the changes.
