Purpose
shturval-local-csi - local storage module based on RawFile Driver CSI. Ensures the creation of volumes on local disks of nodes. Is a dependency for shturval-capi in the management cluster.
Deployment and management
shturval-local-csi is a critical platform service. In the Shturval platform, its inclusion and life cycle in the cluster is ensured by cluster-manager (platform service); the ShturvalServiceConfig (SSC) object for the shturval-local-csi chart is created and maintained as part of the platform configuration. For correct operation, shturval-networking and shturval-snapshotter must be deployed (see dependencies in the table above).
Recommendation: do not edit ShturvalServiceConfig manually to change release parameters - the object belongs to the platform configuration and can be overwritten during updates. Change the behavior of the module via ShturvalServicePatch (SSP).
Where to configure
Services and repositories → Installed services → shturval-local-csi → Manage.
Setting up storage classes: StorageClasses. The default module does not require manual configuration and is used as a local storage for data (including for the Cluster API).
Volume snapshots are supported starting with version 2.14.0 and are created only after stopping the workload (the PVC must not be in use). Details: Snapshots.
